Argentina already has four films heading for September's San Sebastian International Film Festival after the event teamed with Toulouse's Latin American Cinema Screenings to trawl for films from Latin America.

Films selected by the two events will screen to professionals in Toulouse in March before heading on to San Sebastian, Spain's leading film festival in September. Launched under the banner Cinema In Progress, the initiative is aimed at tracking Latin American features at post-production stage.

The Argentinian contingent include Santiago Loza's Grieta, Carlos Sorin's Historias Minimas, Ana Katz's El Juego De La Silla and Sergio Belloti's Sudeste.

From Uruguay comes Aldo Garay's La Espera, while Colombia is represented by Luis Alberto Restrepo's La Primera Noche. A partially edited version of Victor Gaviria's Sumas Y Restas, from Colombia, will be presented as a supplementary screening.
