UK producer Sarah Radclyffe has struck a three-year first-look deal with Miramax Films to make family features.

Radclyffe will make films with her producing partner Courtney Pledger under her newly-launched banner Jigsaw Films. The co-founder of Working Title Films, whose recent credits include FilmFour's UK comedy There's Only One Jimmy Grimble, will work with Miramax UK chief Allon Reich.

The move comes as UK film superbody The Film Council, which controls all National Lottery support for film, is looking for family projects in its drive to finance commercially-oriented titles.

Radclyffe's other recent credits include executive producing Lynne Ramsay's acclaimed Ratcatcher and The Lost Son, starring Daniel Auteuil and Nastassja Kinski, and producing Tim Roth's gritty The War Zone. Miramax also recently struck a two-year first-look deal with UK-based production outfit Ruby Films.
