Screen International launched ScreenIntelligence.com on May 15, the first day of the Cannes film festival.
Developed in response to demand from the users of Screen International's daily news service screendaily.com, this online database of European films includes up-to-date details of almost 2,000 titles from 27 countries at every stage of production, from development to completion. Publisher Anne-Marie Flynn said "Screen Intelligence will be an invaluable business tool for anyone wishing to produce, buy, back or sell a film".
The database can be searched by such factors as genre, territory, status, production company, backers, director and cast. There will also be direct links from film titles in the database to related stories featured on screendaily.com.
Screen Intelligence has been developed in association with The Creative Partnership - the London-based marketing and creative agency. Through their services, production companies can also enhance listings with advertising, trailers or micro-sites, "helping film-makers create an awareness of their project far earlier in the development process" according to Flynn.
