Screen unveils nominees for UK Marketing & Distribution Awards

Screen International today unveiled the nominations for the UK Marketing & Distribution Awards which will be presented for the first time at a gala evening on Oct 5 in London.

The nominations, across 13 categories, reflect the best in marketing and distributing films across all media over the last 14 months in the UK. 190 entries were submitted by 29 companies; the winners will be decided by a panel of judges chaired by Lord Puttnam.

Among the titles leading the pack in the nominations are Four Lions from Optimum Releasing which is cited in four categories, Streetdance 3D from Vertigo Films in five, and 20th Century Fox’s all-time blockbuster Avatar which has three nods. Optimum leads the pack with 10 nominations, Fox follows with nine.
