September International, the sales and distribution arm of September Films, has made its first sale in China. The agreement consists of four programmes: Secret History of Hacking, Playboy Prince, Tammy Wynette an American Tragedy and Dressing for the Oscars. The programmes will be broadcast throughout China to over 100 city cable TV stations, including Beijing TV and Guangzhou TV.
Sally Miles, MD of September International commented, " The importance of building relations with this growing market cannot be underestimated. One of our key ambitions this year has been to sell into new territories. We hope this agreement with Combined TV is the beginning of a long standing relationship and creates further opportunities for September International in the Asian region."
Combined TV is established by China's 37 provincial level TV stations, providing an alternative to CCTV. The provincial stations are the backbone of the Chinese television markets and include TV stations such as Beijing TV and Guangzhou TV. Thomas Lizhi Bao, Combined TV Acquisition Manager commented, "We are delighted to have acquired this programming and see it as the start of a strong relationship between our two companies."
