Montreal-based sales outfit Seville International has acquired international rights to Lea Pool's Mommy Is At The Hairdresser's (Maman Est Chez Le Coiffeur).

The film, which has garnered strong critical reaction following its May 2 opening in Quebec, stars Laurent Lucas (With A Friend Like Harry), Celine Bonnier (Monica La Mitraille), Gabriel Arcand (The Decline Of The American Empire) and Marianne Fortier (Aurore).

Set in 1966, the story revolves around a young girl's whose summer reverie is disrupted by the abandonment of her mother. Produced by Equinoxe Productions by Lyse Lafontaine and Michael Mosca, the film will be handled in Cannes by Seville's Anick Poirier.
