Principal photography began December 10, 2006 on Rise Of The Footsoldier, a British crime epic about East London villain Carleton Leach.

Written by Julian and William Gilbey, the film is scheduled for a six-week shoot on location at Three Mills Studios in East London and Essex. Its ensemble cast includes Ricci Harnett (28 Days Later) in his first lead role, with Craig Fairbrass (White Noise 2), Roland Manookian (The Business), Terry Stone (Rollin' with the Nines), Billy Murray (Rollin' with the Nines), Frank Harper (Football Factory), Coralie Rose (Waking The Dead), Lara Belmont (The War Zone) and Kierston Wareing (Long Time Dead).

The film is directed by Julian Gilbey, who is nominated for Special Achievement by a Director at this year's BAFTAs for his 2006 urban gangster film Rollin' With The Nines. He previously directed 2002's Reckoning Day.

Rise Of The Footsoldier is produced by Carnaby International in association with Flakjacket Films. A promo reel will be shown at Berlin's European Film Market, while the finished feature will premiere at the London UK Film Focus in June.
