Business-to-business entertainment website ShowBIZ Data Inc is to stage its Interactive Lounge concept at the Sundance Film Festival in January for a second year running. The lounge, based at Harry-O's on Main Street, will host online and offline services for the independent film-making community including distribution, production, marketing and education
Activities at the lounge in 2001 will include access to submission of short films for The Sci-Fi Channel's short film series Exposure, a celebrity-memorabilia auction and live chats conducted by Yahoo! Movies; festival coverage and a live webcam by Mr Showbiz; the launch of FilmECnet, a connected production management solution; demonstrations of Microsoft Windows Media Technologies; iBEAM Broadcasting's streaming media services; Cyber3's ES Series professional editing solutions using Apple's Final Cut Pro; and entertainment industry panels.
The lounge will also house 50 computer systems provided by Dell Computer Corporation.
