The Slamdunk Film Festival which ran from Jan 19 to 22 awarded Ben Coccio's Zero Day the best film and best actor prizes. Zero Day is a digital film which follows the video diary of two high school students who are planning a Columbine-style shooting of their classmates. Andre Keuck and Cal Gabriel shared the best actor trophy.

Noah Stern won the best director award for Seven Songs starring Chris Eigeman as a disgruntled rock star who abandons his obligations to his record label and rebels against the trappings of the world he lives in.

Best screenplay went to Howard Kaylen for My Dinner With Jimi, best actress went to Napakphapha Nakaprasitte for Butterfly Man, best cinematography went to Mark Duffield for Butterfly Man and best short went to Cosmo Segurson for The Green Sheik.

The audience awards were won by Pauly Shore's You'll Never Wiez In This Town Again for feature and Drew Martin and David Baeumler's Fudgie And Jane for short.
