Digital media network Sohonethas recently completed a total upgrade in the fiber infrastructure at PinewoodStudios.

The studio worked closelywith Sohonet to plan and implement the upgrade, which enhances Pinewood's networkingand data-transfer capabilities. A similar upgrde is ongoing at SheppertonStudios.

Since 2002, Pinewood hasbeen a part of the Sohonet community, which also includes Warner Bros,Universal Studios, Technicolor, HBO, The Mill, Moving Picture Company andFramestore CFC.

The improvements includeservice speeds from 100Mbit/s to 1Gbit/s and above, live video transmission inHD and SD between Pinewood and clients in central London and links between many of Pinewood's multiplestudios, theatres and soundstages.
