Multi award winning Spanish actress and director Iciar Bollain is in pre-production on a new drama Agua about theforced privatisation ofBolivia's leading public water companies in 2000.

The $10mfilmis based on a script written by Paul Laverty (The Wind That Shakes The Barley) and is set to shoot in Mexico and Bolivianext summer.

Casting is yet to be finalised.

'The film is set in Bolivia so we will make it a co-production with some Latin American companies (currently under discussion),' says Morena Films' Alvaro Longoria, who worked as a producer on both Che films.

Longoria told ScreenDaily that they hope to release the film in 2010.

Morena Films is also working on the new Julio Medem film Aspacia, a love story set in the fifth century before Christ. That film will also shoot next year as an international co-production with other companies from Spain, France and Greece.
