Justin Edgar's Special People won the best feature audience award at Britspotting, the British & Irish Film Festival in Germany. The film wins a post-production/editing prize worth $22,200 (Euros 14,000).
Dominic Coleman, Sasha Hardway, Robyn Frampton, David Proud and Jason Maza star in the story of four kids in wheelchairs who are invited to make a film. The feature premiered at the 2007 Edinburgh International Film Festival. Guerilla Films plans a summer 2008 UK theatrical release.
The best short audience award went to Jamie Griffith's The One And Only Herb McGwyer Plays Wallis Island. That prize includes a $1,586 (Euros 1000) production equipment package.
The Britspotting festival started in Berlin and will move to Cologne and Stuttgart.
