Regional broadcaster Star has appointed Cora Yim as vice president, programming for Star Chinese Movies and Star Chinese Movies 2.

Yim was previously director of marketing & strategic planning for Hong Kong-based animation producer Imagi International Holdings. Prior to that, she was senior manager, acquisition & marketing at Hong Kong's Media Asia Group.

In her new role she will oversee content strategies, acquisitions, marketing and scheduling for Star's two Chinese movie channels. She will report to Cheah Chee Kong (CheeK), executive vice president, Chinese Programming.

CheeK said: Star prides itself on bringing the best Chinese movie content to its viewers, from the latest blockbusters to movies that represent the Golden age of Hong Kong's film industry.

'We're fortunate to have someone of Cora's ability and expertise join us, to drive these two highly sought after Chinese movie channels to new heights across Asia and beyond.'
