Start-up UK production venture Nightlight Pictures has optioned the film rights to Clifford Irving's novel about a murder investigation in a WW2 concentration camp, The Angel Of Zin.

Set in 1943 in Berlin and occupied Poland, the murder mystery tells the story an SS Captain named Paul Bach who is sent to investigate crimes committed by the so-called Angel Of Death. Irving's credits include The Hoax, Daddy's Girl: The Campbell Murder Case and La Ley Del Manantial.

"Irving's book is a powerful indictment of evil that has the potential to be one of the most thought-provoking and important movies of recent years," said Dominic DeVine, who set up Nighlight with George Siougas. "George and I are delighted that Nightlight has been able to option it."
