Steven Leightonhas been named UK managing director for Twentieth CenturyFox Home Entertainment. He replaces John Stanley, who as ScreenDaily.comreported yesterday, is leaving Fox to join Warner Bros UK.

He has been withFox Home Entertainment since 2004 as managing director of Australia. Previously he was CEO of the HawthornFootball Club in Melbourne and worked at Heinz, MayneNickless Express, BerrivaleOrchards and Cadbury.

Leighton takesthe post effective immediately.

"Steve has done asensational job managing our Australia operation for the past two years and weare very pleased to now have him running our UK business," said Keith Feldman, executiveVP and general manager, international, for Fox Home Entertainment. "In a shorttime, Steve has demonstrated the ability to effectively lead a team and drivethe DVD business forward, so we have fullconfidence in his ability to translate that success to the UK marketplace."
