Steven Paul's Crystal Sky has established a new genre division Renegade Worldwide which kicks off at AFM with Jon Voight-starrer Deadly Course and 3:44, a movie set against the underground music scene with Carrie Ann Moss in the lead role.

Run by Paul and Patrick Ewald, Renegade Worldwide is also handling The Secret War which is produced by Showtime Networks and two erotic features from Zalman King - Chromium Blue, set on the high seas, and The Eternal, set in the world of sexy vampires - which will both air in the US on Showtime after dark later this year.

Renegade will also be offering library titles of films starring Anthony Michael Hall, Robert Downey Jr, Samuel L Jackson, Edward James Olmos, Eric Christian Olsen and others. Renegade will handle films budgeted at under $10m, while Crystal Sky will focus on its bigger pictures such as Ghost Rider, Deathlok, Werewolf By Night and Tekken.

'We want to return to the type of movies that helped build our parent company,' said Paul in a statement. 'We don't want to forget our roots.' 'There is a real lack of star-driven, low budget, high quality movies in the marketplace,' added Ewald. 'With the launch of Renegade Worldwide, buyers will now have a great source for this kind of product.'
