Germany distribution company X Verleih has picked up all German-language rights to Atom Egoyan's Cannes competitor Adoration. Written, produced and directed by Egoyan, the film won the Ecumenical Prize at the festival. It stars Arsinee Khanjian, Scott Speedman, Rachel Blanchard and Devon Bostick.

As well as a key sale to Sony Pictures Classics for the US, Latin American and Australia, seller Maximum Films International has thus far completed deals for the UK (New Wave), Israel (Lev Films), South Africa (Videovision), Portugal (LNK), the Middle East (Front Row), Greece, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Romania (Audiovisual) and India (Palador).

Executive producer Robert Lantos' Maximum Films Distribution has Canadian rights while co-executive producers Michele Halberstadt and Laurent Petin's ARP holds rights for French-language Europe and the Francophonie.

The film is produced by Simone Urdl and Jennifer Weiss of Toronto-based The Film Farm, who are set to produce Egoyan's untitled next project.
