Fortissimo Films has closed an all-rights French deal for Toronto title Gigantic to La Fabrique De Films.

Matt Aselton directed the Killer Films and Epoch Films production, which has its world premiere Monday in Discovery.

The surreal love story stars Zooey Deschanel, Paul Dano and John Goodman.

Fortissimo EVP of International Sales Nicole Mackey said: 'It gives us great pleasure to make this announcement - a continuation of our great relationship with La Fabrique De Films. We know the film is in the best possible hands and that it will receive the great support it deserves on its French release.'

La Fabrique De Films' founders Verane Frediani and Franck Ribière added: 'La Fabrique de Films is excited to be involved with a project with these two incredible actors Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel. The film is a one of a kind romantic, funny and human story. We know French audiences will love it. '

Dano stars as a mattress salesman who wants to adopt a Chinese baby; he start a romance with misquided young woman (Descahnel) and then has to contend with her loudmouth father (Goodman).

La Fabrique De Films has released films including Control, Jindabyne and Fast Food Nation and also was a producer on The Oxford Murders.
