Lions Gate Films International has sold US rights to Spanish comedy The Other Side Of The Bed to The Sundance Channel for theatrical release as part of its Sundance Film Series.

The film, which marks the first ever US deal for Lions Gate International outside its domestic sister operation, rounds out the first year slate of the first Sundance Film Series after Michael Winterbottom's In This World, Mark Decena's Dopamine and Mark Rucker's Die Mommie Die.

The Other Side Of The Bed, which grossed $13.5m in Spain, was directed by Emilio Martinez-Lazaro. As part of the Sundance Film Series, the film will be released exclusively in Loews Cineplex theatres in ten markets in the US with sponsorship and in-kind marketing support from Coca-Cola, Entertainment Weekly, Kenneth Cole Productions and Volkswagen.
