The Sundance Film Festival followed the announcement yesterday of its dramatic and documentary competition and American Spectrum sections with the high-profile Premiere and World Cinema sections today, as well as Frontier and Midnight Screenings.

Opening the festival on Jan 18 is My First Mister, the feature directorial debut of award-winning actress Christine Lahti and featuring Albert Brooks and Leelee Sobieski.

Among the other premieres are the eagerly awaited first film from Mick Jagger's Jagged Pictures, Michael Apted's wartime drama Enigma (pictured above) starring Dougray Scott and Kate Winslet. Also receiving their world premieres are Caveman's Valentine, Kasi Lemmons' follow-up film to Eve's Bayou, the Jodie Foster-produced The Dangerous Lives Of Altar Boys featuring Jena Malone and Foster herself, Tom DiCillo's latest Double Whammy with Denis Leary and Elizabeth Hurley, Patrice Chereau's first Englishlanguage film Intimacy based onHanif Kureishi's novel and starring Mark Rylance and Kerry Fox, and Richard Linklater's live action/animated mix Waking Life.

World Cinema features a slew of popular festival favourites including The Last Resort, Me You Them, Maelstrom, National 7, Angels Of The Universe, Brother, Chopper and The Dish.
