Buena Vista International Television has licensed three animated features to Super RTL - Movietoons, in a deal which shows that business is still being done in the troubled German TV sector.

The features - The Tigger Movie, Recess and Doug's First Movie - fit into Super RTL's Disney Playhouse pre-school strategy, and the channels' primetime Friday Cartoon Special line-up.

"Movies are an essential part of SRTL's kids and family scheduling and the features which they have acquired from BVI-TV are key to providing their youngest viewers with the best in Disney animations," said Tom Toumazis, senior vice president and managing director of BVI-TV.
