One clever film-maker caught our attention today by bringing us a copy of her short film Join The Dots..and chocolate!
Bribery definitely doesn’t work here at the Screen office.
Well, unless it involves chocolate.
So young film-maker Jess Lux definitely had the right idea when she hand delivered a copy of her short film, Join The Dots, wrapped up in a kind of pass the parcel type concoction with each layer containing a different kind of sweet – oreo cookies, chocolate buttons and flying saucers.
The short, about a young girl trying to make her way at St Andrews University amongst all the toffs (with a haunting performance from Florence Bell in the lead), screens at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 23.
It’s definitely worth a watch. And who knows, if you ask nicely enough you might get chocolate too.
