TF1 International and Australia's Beyond Films are to share sales duties on Revolver, the next film by Bride Of Chucky-director Ronny Yu, after his forthcoming 51st State.

In a similar fashion to their joint involvement on another Australian picture Cut, TF1 will co-finance and sell the picture in all non-English-language territories except Germany and Korea. These will be sold by Beyond. The action thriller is due to shoot in April with delivery for the end of next year. FFC funding has been applied for. The deal was brokered by Beyond's Gary Hamilton and TF1's Massimo Saidel, Perrine Teze and Didier Sapaut.

The growing Australian connection is part of TF1 International's strategy to have some 50% of its slate sourced from English-language territories, with an emphasis on mainstream and youth-oriented genres.

In its high-concept French-language category - which accounts for about 30% of the slate - TF1 is now also representing Agnes Merlet's new film. The untitled picture about initiation rituals known as 'hazing' follows Merlet's highly acclaimed Artemesia and The Wrecker's Children.

Currently proving a hot seller from TF1 International's specialist slate is Ali Zaoua, Morocco's foreign-language Oscar contender. The Said Taghmaoui-starring picture has been sold to 16 territories including Spain (Vertigo), Greece (Pro-optiki), Israel (Shapira), France (Ocean Films), Brazil (Estacao) and to Arturo Ripstein's Latina for Mexico.
