TFI International has generated strong sales on Jean-Pierre Jeunet's upcoming Micmacs following the recent American Film Market.

Micmacs went to Entertainment One for the UK and Canada; Odeon for Greece, Cyprus and Romania; Scanbox in Scandinavia and Hollywood Classic in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The film , which began shooting in Paris in August, will be released by Warner Bros in France in the autumn of 2009.

Micmacs , which was announced at Cannes, stars Dany Boon in an offbeat satire on the world arms trade. Starring along with Boon are Andre Dussollier, Julie Ferrier, Yolande Moreau, Nicolas Marie, Dominique Pinon and Jean-Pierre Marielle.

Also involved in the production are Jeunet's usual team including co-writer Guillaume Laurant, costume designer Madeline Fontaine and production designer Aline Bonetto - all of whom worked with the director on 2004's A Very Long Engagement and 2001's Amelie . Director of photography, Tetsuo Nagata, who shot TF1's Oscar winning La Vie En Rose, is also on board.
