TFI International has pickedup live-action family film Duke & Claire from Endgame Entertainment, producers of HotelRwanda and Lord Of War.

The story is about a pair ofmismatched dogs shepherding a group of ducklings through the American west on ajourney where they must battle rattlesnakes, wolves and other wilds along theway.

The project will be directedby Milo & Otis screenwriterMark Saltzman. A budget hasn't been announced for the Utah-shot project. Thevoice cast is currently under discussion.

TFI is handling worldwiderights outside English-speaking territories.

In Cannes, the company alsohas eight minutes of footage from its Edith Piaf biopic, La Vie En Rose, starring Marion Cotillard and directed by OlivierDahan. A further eight minutes of footage are available from Captain Alatriste starring Viggo Mortensen. New footage is also on handfrom Alain Berliner's Gone For A Dance.

Other projects includepsychological sports-action thriller Fair Play from Lionel Bailliu starring Cotillard and BenoitMagimel and Frederic Schoendoerffer's Crime Insiders also with Magimel.

Another new film, Poltergay, from director Eric Lavaine has been added to theslate. Clovis Cornillac and Julie Depardieu star in the comedy about a couplewho move into a house that is haunted by the ghosts of five gay clubbers fromthe 1970s.
