Fourweeks of principal photography has commenced on location in Dublin for SpeedDating, the debut feature of writer/director Tony Herbert,produced by John Conroy and Adrian Devane.

Thefilm tells the story of speed dating addict as he approaches his 30th birthday.When an encounter leads to his being hospitalised and amnesiac, the policestart to investigate his involvement in the disappearance of a young woman.

Privatelyfinanced for production company Sytem Forty Eight Ltd., Dating has a talented Irish cast including Hugh O'Conor (My Left Foot,Chocolat), Don Wycherley (Veronica Guerin), Flora Montgomery (Basic Instinct 2), andEmma Choy (The Vanguard),.

Theproduction team also includes Executive Producer Ned Dowd (Apocolypto, KingArthur, Veronica Guerin) and DoP John Conroy who hasjust wrapped his 1st Assistant Camera role on Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code.

Herbertsaid he's particularly happy to have secured such a strong cast and crew forhis first feature. "I'm delighted to be directing such a great ensemblecast and working with a wonderful crew and hopefully together making somethingthat's fun and different for an international audience."

ProducersConroy and Devane are equally excited about working on the project. "Witha great script and a top cast and crew we hope to make a memorable Irish film.We are proud to say that we have an wholly Irish crew and that our cast isalmost all-Irish too."

Dating is one of fivefeatures currently shooting in Ireland, all intending to wrap just beforeChristmas. The others are: The Front Line, 48 Angels, Middletown, and InLike Flynn.
