Andrew Stevens' Trademark Entertainment has struck up a representation relationship with David Glasser and Lisa Wilson's new sales outfit Syndicate Films kicking off with three titles at MIFED - horror picture Samantha's Child starring Heather Graham, serial killer chiller Method starring Elizabeth Hurley and thriller Pursued with Christian Slater and Estella Warren.

'It's a great way for me to be at the market but obviates me being an autonomous entity,' said Stevens of the new relationship with Syndicate.

'David and Lisa have been very gracious and accommodating to me, while enabling me to maintain a semblance of a brand.' Stevens worked for several years with Wilson at his former outfit Franchise Pictures.

Samantha's Child begins shooting in Bucharest, Romania, on Nov 23. Stevens described it as an homage to Rosemary's Baby using IVF treatment as a new hook. Simon Fellows is directing Graham in the picture, which Stevens and his producing partners Donald Kushner, Pierre Spengler and Brad Wyman structured as a UK-Romanian-Swiss co-production.

Set up in the same way was Method, which is now in the final stages of post-production. In the film directed by Duncan Roy (AKA) and co-starring Jeremy Sisto, Hurley plays a celebrity who wants to be taken seriously as an actress who goes to Romania to shoot a movie about a serial killer.

Pursued, which also stars Michael Clarke Duncan and Gil Bellowes, begins shooting today (Nov 11) in Vancouver and is directed by Peter Lenkov.
