Marco Tullio Giordana and Darioand Asia Argento will be the first recipients of the $19,000 (Euros 15,000)prize Set Torino Piemonte - for actors, directors and producers working in Italy's Turin - Piedmont region.

A $19,000 (Euros 15,000) prizewill be given to each of three recipients on behalf of the Film CommissionTorino Piemonte and the Casa di Risparmio di Torino Foundation.

Director Marco TullioGiordana's Crazy Blood (Sangue Pazzo) isset to begin filming at the beginning of 2007 in Turin. Crazy Bloodis the tragic story of two actors (Luisa Ferida and Osvaldo Valenti) who weresymbols of Italian fascism. Monica Bellucci and Luca Zingaretti will star.

The film is TullioGiordana's second project in Turin after his 2003 Cannes success, TheBest Of Youth.

Italy's master of suspense and horror Dario Argento returns to the region forhis sixth film there, this time with actress/director daughter Asia Argento. TheArgentos will be in the region to film part of The Mother of Tears - the third installment in the Three Mother's Trilogy, already inproduction.

The elder Argento has set manyof his other projects in the Piedmont region, including 1971's The Cat O'Nine Tails and 2001's Sleepless.
