The legal battle between distributor UIP (UK) and UGC's UK circuit has been resolved three months after it began. Since the release of Mission: Impossible 2 in July, both companies have been at loggerheads over the terms agreed for tickets sold through the use of UGC's loyalty pass. UIP and UGC have now announced that the issue has been resolved, although no details are available.

After UGC issued a writ against UIP in July, the exhibitor did not screen any of UIP's new releases until a partial agreement was made in September for the release of Shaft, Billy Elliot and Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps.

"I am pleased to announce that UGC and UIP have reached an agreement that resolves all past and present terms," said Andrew Cripps, president and COO of UIP.

"We can confirm that our issues with UIP have been resolved and it is now business as usual," added a UGC spokesperson.
