UK film body the Film Council has named Norman Brock and Emma Clarke as part of a raft of appointments.

Brock has been appointed production and development executive for the Council's Premiere Fund, a $14m a year tranche of National Lottery cash for films with broad appeal. Brock worked as a development consultant for the fund's head, Robert Jones, and as a creative producer at the Co-production Office in Berlin.

Clarke becomes senior executive for the New Cinema Fund, an $8m fund for innovative films. The former vice president of acquisitions and production for Fine Line Features in the UK will assess applications and work with all creative teams.

Other appointments at the film body see Gillian Clyde, formerly manager of business and legal affairs at Buena Vista Productions in the UK, made head of legal. Dan MacRae, previously at Scottish funding agency Scottish Screen, has been appointed as deputy head of development for the Development Fund.

Additionally, Luke Morris, previously at Jones' production company Jonescompany, becomes production and acquisitions executive for the Premiere Fund. Natalie Wreyford is made development executive for the Development Fund, having previously been a development executive for the UK's Granada Film.

The council has also appointed Jennifer Barrett as senior business affairs executive, working across the three production and development funds for the business affairs department. Barrett previously worked for BBC Films, Flashpoint and Zenith.
