London-based entertainment company Winchester Films has sold UK romantic comedy Wild About Harry to Universal Pictures for the UK and Australia.

Universal is also in talks to take the film, produced by Scala Pictures and BBC Films, for the US, Italy, Scandinavia and Benelux. The title has already gone to Senator for Germany, Kinowelt for Eastern Europe and Shapira for Israel.

Winchester recently formed partnerships with a trio of Hollywood producers - Wind Dancer Films, Team Todd and Debra Hill - and boarded Paul Schrader's next film, a $20m thriller called The Walker. The company last year brokered a network of international output deals on behalf of Chuck Gordon's Daybreak Productions, while it unveiled a first-look deal with UK producer Mark Thomas at the AFM

Gary Smith, Winchester Entertainment chief executive, commented: "Our agreements on these new films are for an average of 20 years and are expected to generate significant recurring revenue over that period."
