India's UTV Motion Pictures released its fourth Hindi film of the year today (July 18), Kismat Konnection, across 720 screens in India and 200 in overseas markets.

The overseas territories include the UK, US, Middle East, Australia and Pakistan, which will also have a day-and-date release.

Directed by Aziz Mirza and produced by Tips, the film is a romantic comedy starring Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan. It premiered at the Grand Cineplex, Dubai on Wednesday.

UTV released Race, Aamir and Jodhaa Akbar earlier this year. Among these, it managed to get censor clearancefor Race to be released day-and-date in Pakistan. The company also released two of last year's films in Pakistan - Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal was also day-and-date, while Taare Zameen Par was released slightly later than India.

Meanwhile, Percept Picture Company is hoping to get a day-and-date release of Mehreen Jabbar's Pakistani film Ramchand Pakistani in India and Pakistan.
