He will be responsible for Universal’s home entertainment operations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Universal Pictures International Entertainment (UPIE) has appointed Ronald Verberg as general manager of Universal Pictures Benelux.

Verberg will be based in Amsterdam and will report to Pauline Grimaldi d’Esdra - regional managing director for France and Benelux. He will be responsible for Universal’s home entertainment operations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, focusing on increasing Universal Pictures’ share in the home entertainment market.

He joins UPIE from sewing machine manufacturer VSM where he was managing director of the Benelux operation since 2008.

Previously he held managing director roles with Konami Digital Entertainment and ESC. Verberg also spent four years as general manager of Warner Home Video in the Netherlands and has significant sales experience with companies including Mars.
