Vortex Pictures, the newinternational sales outfit run by Nicolas Chartier and Dean Shapiro, has pickedup international rights to Emmett's Mark, a psychological thriller starring Scott Wolf, TimRoth and Gabriel Byrne. WMA Independent is representing North American rightson behalf of the film-makers, writer/director Keith Snyder and producers BradFuller and Graham Taylor.

The movie is the story of ayoung detective who decides to have himself killed at an unknown time ratherthan face the lonely death of a terminal illness, which he mistakenly believeshe has contracted. Byrne plays the mysterious stranger who makes him the offer,Roth a security guard hired by the detective on a case.

The film joins a host offilms on Vortex's slate all produced by its production partner GoldCircle Films including Nicolas Cage's directorial debut Sonny, My Big Fat Greek Wedding produced by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson and The ManFrom Elysian Fields starring AndyGarcia and Mick Jagger.
