Screen has become aware of scammers and even some scam websites that have been passing themselves and/or the goods and services they are purporting to sell, off as Screen Daily or services which are allegedly being provided by Screen Daily.
Unless a purchase is being made by an authorised representative of Screen Daily or through https://www.screendaily.com/, any sale purporting to come from Screen Daily is unlikely to be genuine.
People have been contacted through social media and messaging apps by these scammers pretending to be representing ScreenDaily.com. We are aware that some of these sites ask people to become involved in a scheme where they are paid to rate films for Screen – but then insist upon payment to be involved in the scheme and unlock payments.
Screen does not operate any form of paid film ratings and would not ask for money from anyone in this way. Any messaging from an individual or organisation purporting to be Screen or being in any way affiliated with Screen and which subsequently makes this offer is a scam.
Screen’s publishers, Media Business Insight, has taken all appropriate legal steps to protects its business interests and the interests of our customers, and we will continue to take robust legal action against perpetrators of fraud.
If you have been a victim of this scam then please report the incident to the Action Fraud service at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ or call the service on 0300 123 2040.
