Lou Ye's controversial Chinese competitionentry Summer Palace was sold to thirteen territories with the US's Palm Picturesin final negotiations. Other distributors taking the film include Japan's Movie Eye, Mexico's Septimo Arte, Korea's Eureka and Switzerland's Frenetic.

Rolf de Heer's Ten Canoes meanwhile isalso in final negotiations with Palm while the film was sold to the UK's Revolver, France's Memento, Germany's A La Mode and Russia's CentralPartnership among others.

According to Wild Bunch chief Vincent Maraval,Michel Ocelot's Azur AndAsmar is the object of a bidding war amongst threeUS companies andwill likely end in a sizeable deal. The film was also sold to Canada's Seville, Greece's PCV, Mexico's Quality, Germany's Universum, Argentina's Bazooka, Korea's With Cinema andBrazil's Downtown amongseveral others.

As reported during Cannes, competition film Buenos Aires: 1977from director Adrian Caetano signed deals including TheWeinstein Company for Spain, the US and Australia with Pan Europeennetaking France, Momentum on board in the UK, Comstock Org in for Japan and Eurekataking Korea.

Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth hasbeen sold in 23 territories including the US (Picture House), UK (Optimum), France(Pan Europeenne), Italy (Videa), Australia (Hopscotch), China (Domo Media) and Thailand (United Home).

Buyers for Patrick Grandperret's Un CertainRegard title Murderers include Germany's Telepool, Portugal's Lusomondo, Poland's Kino Swiat, Turkey's D Prod, and Thailand's MFI.

Paolo Sorrentino's Friend Of The Family sold in five territories including to the UK's Artificial Eyeand Mexico's Quality.
