Vanessa Williamshas been named vice president, media, Warner Bros Pictures International. Inher new position, Williams will report to Fiona Watts, senior vice president,marketing.
Williams willdevelop and oversee the implementation of media planning for approximately 30annual theatrical releases in 65 international territories. Among heradditional duties are supervising and approving media budgets, evaluating mediavalue attained from third-party promotional activity, monitoringadvertising/publicity costs and spending, managing advertising agencies andmonitoring competitive media spends and strategies.
"Vanessa is a mediaprofessional who has worked on three continents for over 10 years, withtop-ranked agencies in international, regional and local roles," said Watts ina statement. "Her years ofexperience as well as her international sensibilities make her a tremendousasset to our team."
Williams joins Warner Brosfrom Universal McCann where she held variouspositions, most recently, as group account director in the New York office.
