Woody Allenwill begin production on his latest film in Paris this summer. Titled The Woody Allen Summer Project 2006, the film marks the thirdconsecutive time the director has chosen to shoot in Europe following his two latest outings inLondon, Match Point and Scoop. Continuing his love affair with Europe, in 2007 Woody Allen is planning to shoot in Spain.

This willbe Allen's first time shooting a full film in Paris; he shot parts of 1996's EveryoneSays I Love You in the capitalcity.

Thedirector will also handle writing duties on the film to be produced by Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaumand Gareth Wiley.

Frenchsales, finance and distribution house Wild Bunch, and its new acquisitions armVirtual Films, will co-produce and handle international sales on the work.Executive producers are Vincent Maraval, Benjamin Waisbren and Daniel Wuhrmann. Spain's On Pictures and France's TFM have already takendistribution rights for their respective territories.

No budgetor story details are available at this time. However, in a press statement,Allen said, "I am really looking forward to the opportunity to shoot a film in Paris. I have always had a wonderfulexperience when visiting there. Paris is one of the most beautiful citiesin the world, and I know it is going to be a great place to work.'
