The 21st Fajr International Film Festival is to be held in Tehran from Feb 1-11 2003. Commemorating the 24th anniversary of Iran's Islamic Revolution, it will consist of two International Competitions - for feature-length and short narrative films respectively - and an Out-of-Competition section for films which do not meet the festival's restrictions on production dates and previous exhibitions.

The selection committee comprises: Mahmoud Arbabi - director of the Farabi Cinema Foundation's Department of Culture; Jafar Sanei-Moghaddam - director of the Office of Film Supervision; Mohammad Ebrahim Salavati - consultant to Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB)'s television channels; Nasser Onsori - also an IRIB consultant and a television producer-director and Kamran Maleki - PR director for the Fajr International Film Festival and the Isfahan International Children's Film Festival.
