Spider-Man 3 broke records this weekend, taking a staggering $176.8m over the three-day period for a total $230.8m in its first six days. Sony's blockbuster played on 16,711 screens across 75 territories and was the highest debut ever in Japan, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, China and Brazil.
