The BermudaInternational Film Festival (BIFF) will take place from Mar 19-25 2004, withseveral titles already confirmed including The Agronomist, Jonathan Demme's documentary aboutHaitian civil rights activist Jean Dominique and The Reckoning, Paul McGuigan's morality play that starsPaul Bettany and Willem Dafoe.

Festival categories will include competition feature,competition documentary and a Bermuda Shorts competition with the intriguingprize of a place on the jury panel the following year. Al in all 72 films willscreen.

Other highlightsinclude a film-maker tribute, Midnight Madness section, children's films and aworld cinema showcase encompassing a focus on modern Mexican cinema.

"This year isanother growth year for us, both in terms of the number of films and the scopeof our film programme," BIFF festival director Aideen Ratteray Pryse said in astatement.

"We are excitedto present some of the world's top independent titles to our appreciatefilm-goers."

Other confirmedtitles include Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Distant, hit Mongolian documentary The Story Of The WeepingCamel, Ulrich Seidl's Jesus,You Know and YannSamuell's Love Me If You Dare aka Jeux d'Enfants.
