Andras Hamori is leaving his position as president of Alliance Pictures to form his own production outfit with a non-exclusive first-look deal at Alliance Atlantis.

Hamori will continue to develop and produce the slate he has brought to Alliance Atlantis including pictures with UK production outfit Natural Nylon and George Faber's Company Pictures.

The announcement was made by Seaton McLean, president Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Production.

Hamori's production credits include Istvan Szabo's Sunshine, David Cronenberg's Crash and Atom Egoyan's The Sweet Hereafter as well as A Room For Romeo Brass, which was sold to USA Films in the US.

Among the films developed by Hamori at Alliance Atlantis which are set to go into production are 51st State, a UK set thriller starring Samuel L Jackson, Natural Nylon's period movie Marlowe to be directed by John Maybury and British period movie Petticoat War.
