French actress Anouk Aimee will be honoured with the Berlinale's Homage and receive a Lifetime Achievement Golden Bear at a screening of Lola on February 13.

Announcing the tribute, festival director Dieter Kosslick stated that "Anouk Aimee is one of the great European stars to whom we owe so many unforgettable moments on the screen. With a distinctive combination of melancholy and passion, she has demonstrated her splendid acting skills in countless films."

The homage, which has been conceived and organised by the Filmmuseum Berlin - Deutsche Kinemathek. Will present a selection of ten of her films, focussing mainly on the 1970s when Aimee became a screen icon.

Anouk Aimee's filmography covers almost 70 titles with such directors as Federico Fellini, Jacques Demy, Marco Bellocchio, Claude Lelouch, Bernardo Bertolucci, Sidney Lumet, George Cukor, Vittorio de Sica, Robert Altman and appearing opposite such leading men as Marcello Mastroianni, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Omar Sharif, Gerard Philippe, Michel Piccoli, Yves Montand, Dirk Bogarde and Charles Aznavour.
