Two local films reign among the top five in Argentina. Romantic road comedy Cleopatra slipped off its perch to third place by the entry of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life. Nonetheless, Cleopatra attracted just 2,464 admissions less on 58 screens compared to the adventure sequel which opened on 70 screens. A new homegrown film, El Fondo Del Mar, opened fifth after rave reviews.

Released on just 25 screens, the thriller boasted the second largest per screen average after Bruce Almighty which continues to lord over the box office.

Meanwhile DisneyArgentina launched a promotion on Sunday to celebrate Finding Nemo's two million admissions. It has halved the ticket price to the animated blockbuster to Pesos 3.50.
