Argentina's Aleph Productions has boarded $2m comedy Runaway Shoes (Viva Sapato!) as co-producer alongside Brazil's Total Filmes and Spain's Euroficcion.

The Spanish-language film, touted as the first ever co-production between Brazil, Argentina and Spain, will be shot in Brazil and Cuba in December this year. It will feature Cuban actor Jorge Peruggoria who developed the script with the project's Brazilian director Luiz Carlos Lacerda. Spain's Kevin Williams Associates is handling international sales.

Aleph has co-produced several films with Mexico and Spain and has credits including Eva Peron, El Evangelio De Las Maravillas, Dona Barbara and De Amor Y De Sombras.
