Beatrix Wesle, well-known on the European market circuit from stints at Advanced Medien and Tobis Filmkunst, has joined Neil Friedman's Menemsha Entertainment as senior vice president of international sales.

Based in Munich, Wesle will co-ordinate European financing and sales for Menemsha, which has built a reputation as a leading seller of non-English language films such as Color Of Paradise, Train Of Life and Divided We Fall, as well as US indies like L.I.E. and Things Behind The Sun.

Wesle is also setting up the financing with Friedman for John Dahl's new film Worst Case Scenario produced by Dahl and Rick Dahl and set to star Michael Keaton and Peter Berg. Wesle was head of business communication at Advanced, and before that spent four years in acquisition and distribution at Tobis.
