Aida Begic's Snow has been chosen by the Association of Film Workers of Bosnia and Herzegovina as its submission for the best foreign language film at the 81st Academy Awards. The film has already won this year's Critics' Week prizeat the Cannes Film Festival.

Snow is co-produced by Sarajevo's Mamafilm, Germany's Rohfilm, French Les Films d'Apres-midi and Iranian Documentary and Experimental Film Center. Pyramide International handles the world sales and the film has been sold to 20 territories, including The Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey and Serbia.

The filmtells the story of seven women, four orphans and an old man who struggle to make a living in a destroyed Eastern Bosnian village following the war in former Yugoslavia.
