Veteran producerJeanette Buerling has been appointed executive vice-president of production anddistribution at Los Angeles-based Filmmates Corporation.

Buerling hasworked with Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros, Germany's Leo Kirch Network DSFand the Bertelsman Group, among others.

Prior to herappointment with Filmmates she served as executive director of HollywoodInternational Finance, a film investment fund that acquired, financed andproduced 38 pictures with budgets of up to $25m.

Among herproducing credits are Timeshare starring Nastassia Kinski and Timothy Dalton for Fox andConstantin Film, and Young Sherlock for USA Network.

She mostrecently served as executive producer on Filmmates' drama Living Life, Jesse Harris' story of a teenage boybattling cancer.

Filmmates partially financedand acquired the project during production and is preparing a domestic release.The company provides equity funding to productions and acquires worldwidedistribution rights.
