The 18th Paris Film Festival closed Tuesday night with Cendres Et Cachotteries (pictured) by Alice Nellis taking home the Grand Prize.

Madame Brouette from Senegalese director Moussa Sene Absa earned two awards, the special jury prize and the best actor statue for Aboubacar Sadikh Ba.

American actress Maggie Gyllenhaal won the best actress prize for her role in the S&M in the office story Secretary by Steven Shainberg.

The Critic's Prize was split between Le Fleuve by Mama Keita and The Tracker from Rolf de Heer. The audience award was given to France's Pierre Olivier for Comme Si De Rien n'Etait.

The Grand, Special and Critic's Prizes carry a purse offered by advertising outfit Metrobus for poster campaigns. The Grand prize is worth Euros 100,000, the Special worth Euros 25,000 and the two winners of the critic's awards will each receive a campaign worth Euros 20,000.
