The Cinecitta Studios inRome will host three film-making workshops this summer in association with LosAngeles' USC school of Cinema-Television, to run from Jul 7-Aug 15.

The credited courses willcover aspects of production, the links between Italian and American cinema andscreenwriting. This is the second consecutive year that Cinecitta is stagingthe course.

Students will also learnfilm-making practices like camera rental, time scheduling and post productionand there will be seminars on independent film-making and video production.

Cinecitta Studios celebratesit 65th anniversary this year and has hosted some of the grandest productionsever made, including Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita, Joseph Mankiewicz's Cleopatra, William Wyler's Ben-Hur and Martin Scorsese's Gangs Of New York.

Recent productions includethe upcoming releases of Brian Helgeland's The Order and Paul Schrader's Exorcist: The Beginning.
